Where It Leads isn’t built around applications, guest pitches, or a list of people waiting to be interviewed.

The conversations start with curiosity.

Sometimes that means following an interesting person. Sometimes it means following a connection. And sometimes it means simply asking a question and seeing where the answer takes us.

What to expect

There isn’t a script.

Before we record, we’ll have a chance to talk about the general direction of the conversation and make sure you’re comfortable with the format.

Once we start recording, we’ll follow the conversation wherever it naturally goes.

It might be thoughtful. It might be funny. It might take an unexpected turn.

That’s rather the point.

A little freedom goes a long way

You don’t need to prepare a speech or memorize answers.

Come as yourself. Bring the things you’re curious about. Tell stories. Disagree. Change your mind.

The best conversations tend to happen when neither person knows exactly where they’re going.

Before we record

There are just a few practical things you’ll receive before the conversation:

• A short guest information sheet explaining the format and what to expect.
• A guest release form covering the recording and its use.
• The opportunity to ask questions before we record.

You’ll never be expected to walk into a conversation without knowing what you’re agreeing to.

And where does it lead?

That’s the interesting part.

Every guest is a starting point.

A conversation might lead to an idea. An idea might lead to a person. And that person might lead somewhere neither of us could have predicted.

That’s the experiment.
